We have an integrated NPM, SAM, UDT system
From an NPM point of view we want to monitor all switches, routers etc but in UDT we have L2 only switches and L3 only routers (old school hey 
).
I can add the switches and get the MAC addresses for each port.
If I add in a router I get IP addresses BUT I don't want to monitor the ports on the router so how do I tell UDT just to use the L3 info without the ports?
I'm sure when we had an older version stand alone UDT it was possible to do this
